Ok So ive been reading review after Review...and looked at ppls benchmark..for the most part ppl with Radeons are better...SO i decided i r getting a Radeon....Now can someone help me figure out which..i was thining 9800..but theres pro se and others...Which should i get

I'm not too sure about nVidia, but I think you're talking about the 5200, not the 5900...

But, anyone onto radeon/

Anyway, it goes like this in terms of 9800 series (256 bit graphics)

9800(250$) < 9800pro(350) < 9800 XT(500$)

In otherwords, the 9800 XT is the most powerful on the market.

In terms of the 9600 series (128 bit graphics)

9600 (about I think what 80-100$?) < 9600pro (about 120-140?) < 9600 XT (199.99 from ATI's website)

9800pro > 9800xt

The 9800 is by far a greater value.

As well as they can both preform exactly the same

The Xt is a 9800pro with a newer thermal solution, and theremal monitors built in as well as a few extra mhz increase. Coupled with drivers that overclock your card according to temps. Which means temporary gains. Thats right as soo as your card starts to heat up all the nice OC gains you had go down again.

Better to buy a 9800 pro put a waterblock on it, Or buy a better fan and overclock it. The dynamic range of the XT makes me laugh.

But if your rich and you do not care for OC'ing then by all means buy an XT.

Thanks aero, I was wondering what was up with the XT, according to the ATI site it is just a bit faster in MHz, but now I understand :D thanks.

bottom line SE= SLow edition, pro is the best has 8 full pipelines and increase clock speeds. XT is new, dont know much about them, just have higher clocks, and the ability to OC without void of warrenty. They also come with HL2.... well a voucher for steam when ever HL2 comes out... if at all. I would get a 9800pro, its awsome, it runs EVERYTHING. i got my 9800pro for 305 at newegg.com
