I recently upgraded my computers motherboard, processor, and ram. I'd like to thank everyone that helped me decide what to get, by the way. I'm quite pleased with my speed and my 3500 benchmark score on low. However I ran into one problem with the installation of my new equipment, Windows XP would not start back up for me, not even in safe mode. After trying a few different things, I finally decided just to reinstall Windows XP, which was probably a mistake, and to reinstall it over the old Windows XP, which was probably an even bigger mistake. Anyway, after the installation I got back into Window XP and had to reinstall all my programs, but I ran into a huge problem. I had some very important files in my old XP user's "My Documents" folder. Windows XP refuses to let me enter this folder. I've tried just about everything I could think of, but nothing has worked. Form what I gather, Windows XP thinks that is another users files and won't let me access them, but there is no way I can log into that name anymore so I'm cut off from them. My only hope is that there is some way I can get Windows XP to remove the restrictions placed on that folder or perhaps edit the registry in such a way that I can create a new user and assign that folder to it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
