I'm like the biggest fan of FF, and I really really really wan to buy it...only thing is that my comp is shit. So I need to buy a new one. I need to know if with these items, FFXI will run smoothly.
Here a list of what i'm getting:

Processor: P4 2.4 ghz 800FSB
Main Board: Asus P4P800-DX Intel 865PE GbLAN/A/AGP8X
Memory: 512 DDR RAM
Videocard: Asus V9520 Magic GeF FX5200 128Mb TV/out ***


***= I already bought this card...but I really think I made a BIG mistake, does anyone have this card and can tell me if it's any GOOD on the benchmark ? Because right now i'm on my p3 733 and I can't even RUN the friggin benchmark..

Well don't know what the video cards specs are but do know it's newer then mine.

I know the game will work for sure on my computer since I played in the beta.

My specs are as following.

Processor: P4 2.0ghz
Ram: 512mb ddr
Video: Geforce 440 mmx

Now as for the benchmark don't know how my system scores. Just know that game works and had my computer nearly 2 years now.

Yes you messed up big time. That card is complete and utter crap for playing games, the GF4 Ti 4200 even beats it to my knowledge. The FX line only gets good 5600 and up, i personally got a 5900.

Save yourself some money and buy a ati 9600pro or 9500pro. Heh if you want to wait buy the 9600xt or 9800xt and get a free copy of half life 2.

GFX 5900 is a waste. Its been proven over and over again.

Buy either a 9800pro, or 9800XT, possibly the GFX5950

Or at least wait till nVidia makes a better card which will be never :spin:
