My suguestions are find out what motherboard you hvae, goto their website, find it. Then check the maximum processor speed you can have. Do some research on the processor. If it checks out, buy it, if not ::shrug:: Get a new mobo combo (with processor)
Then next set would be to update your rambus ram, you'll need some more, I'd suguest getting out that 128 you have, and putting a 512 in (I'm not an intel fan, so I wouldn't know if it works the same. I'm assuming they are....
Anyway, Thouse are your two bottlenecks.
I'm assuming you'll get about.... 2500 or so
My computer barely gets 2100 now I dunno why ^_^
Soyo KT-400 Dragon Ultra MB
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (266 FSB ><)
1x 512 pc2700 DDR (333 ><) (yea, I know)
Radeon 9000PRO 128/128 version (not the crappy 64).
Before I had a DMI lockup problem, I was pushing about

i agree 100%...
i suggest you upgrade the p4 to a 1.9gh willmate (i think that is it, that or the northwood A)
the 9600 is better than 5200 (my ti 4200 is better too), but the 9600pro owns all other video cards not requireing a molex power jack..
