AMD Athlon 64 FX 51 benchmarked by ME!

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro @ Stock
ATI Catalyst 3.7 drivers,
36GB Raptor 10000RPM SATA HDD, Windows XP w/SP1 and DX9B

Athlon64 3200+ 2.0GHz
MSI K8T Neo
(2x 512) 1GB Corsair CAS 2.0 DDR400 (2,3,2,5)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro @ Stock
ATI Catalyst 3.7 drivers,
36GB Raptor 10000RPM SATA HDD, Windows XP w/SP1 and DX9b

Pentium4 revision "C" 3.2ghz 800Mhz

Gigabyte GA-8IK1100
(2x 512) GeIL 4000 DDR RAM
Ram @ 500 mhz
I normaly keep it at (3.6)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro @ 498/750
ATI Catalyst 3.7 drivers,
36GB Raptor 10000RPM SATA HDD, Windows XP w/SP1 and DX9B
Water cooled

Everything was Done with a fresh Install and Latest Bios and drives.
******Please Note Is is very hard to Find FAST ram for the New Athlons So It right now i cannot demonstrate It's Full MEMORY power*******


Quake 3

Athlon 64 3200+ = 420

P4 3.2 = 403

My system = 500

Athlon 64FX 51 = 434


3dmark SE 2001

Athlon 64 3200+ = 0000 Yup thats all zeros It crashes everytime i ran it Due to the motherboard i suspect...

P4 3.2 = 17565

My system = 19340 ???

Athlon 64FX 51 = 21256


SiSoft Sandra memory bandwidth
Only had time to do 2 of them

Athlon64FX 51=5633
P4 3.2=4901

FFXI BENCH

All numbers rounded to the nearest 100th for error purposes (except the FX 51)

Athlon 64 3200+ = 8200

P4 3.2 = 7800

My system = 8700

Athlon 64FX 51 = 11000


(I ran this 5 times Each time Maxing out. On the Japan version site it looks like 11000 is the limit.)

Hmm I saw a athlon 64 score a 24000+ on 3dmark 2001
Impressive though, over double my score on the ffxi bench.

so did you get the athalon xp, or just make one for another person/ test an existing model? ... how does it handle on normal applications? does it, at $400, kill the p4 at 3.2, for $600?

Looks like a nice chip. Cost is a major issue for me since I am currently unemployed so, I think it is out of my options. Anyways, not a bad review, you could of gone into more detail and maybe some more tests. Maybe has some pictures of the chip and setup itself. Overall though not that bad!

That was due to an over clocked graphics card and cpu i saw the same one. These are all stock.
