  • Can i have some thoughhhht??????

    Hey everyone,
I wanted to know if i can have someone opinion. Alrite right now i have a GeForce MX 420, my friend has an ATI 9200 and he is goin to sell it to me for 80 bucks. Now should i keep mine or get the ATI im not sure becasuse my friend told me that on the box of FFXI it says 32mb Geforce. So im guessin only Geforce.
thanks someone please help me out

    hehheheh

Well through my experiences and research, I say get the Radeon 9200... Le'ts put it this way... The Geforce FX 5200 is onyl a bit higher than the Radeon 9200. I myself am thinking of getting a Radeon 9200SE... Yes get it.. I have a friend who has a MX 420 and got 3100 and over on a benchmark, but that Radeon is better than MX series, believe me it is. I have researched many sites. Just make sure your friend's card is AGP or PCI. Cause if he gives you a AGP and you only have a PCI slot... Then you done for... AGP slot=AGP card, PCI card=PCI slot....

If anyone can add on to this or agree with me or even diagree with me... then... go ahead

It should say so on the box, otherwise check the shape of the card.

Read the manual for your comp, or just look at your mobo and look for a slot similar that looks similar to a PCI slot, but a little different. The AGP slot is located near the PCI slot, your mobo might not have one if its a bit old. hope i was helpfull.

Ok LikeLink, Open your computer up and look for an AGP slot like the one in my sweet picture. If you have an AGP slot then you can get an AGP video card. If you only have PCI slots then you will, unfortunately, be limited to PCI video cards. GOOD LUCK ^_^
