They've gone too far this time.
"With a shocking and unexpected announcement, the Cartoon Network has confirmed plans to broadcast episodes of Evangelion, Nadesico, Dai-Gard, and Robotech during Toonami's "Giant Robot Week" of February 24 - 28. Considering that these shows will be aired in the 4-5 PM timeslot on a network that seemingly believed it necessary to alter the title of Candidate for Goddess to "Pilot Candidate" to avoid religious suggestion, there's no telling how much or how little especially the violence and Christian symbolism filled Evangelion will be edited for its Cartoon Network broadcast."
I've always been against Toonami, and I always thought they'd never touch Evangelion. If you know what I'm like, you know that I worship EVA, and detest Toonami. To me, the two just can't go together.
On a note that doesn't insult anything, I'm just wondering...how the hell are they gonna make it work? I mean, not only did they change Candidate for Goddess's name to Pilot Candidate, but they couldn't even call Mr. Satan by his real name, they changed it to...ugh...Hercule. Even on Adult Swim, they edit out a lot of the violence and sexual content, even though they say they aim it to viewers over the age of 18. I don't get how Cartoon Network works, and I think they need to dump Toonami before I get angrier.
