    Think about it. If more people start doing dynamis cause its cheaper, currency could fall so that singles are 1k each, hundreds 100k. Some zones, namely northern and dreamlands aren't as friendly as cities with drops there. As current prices stand now, when doing dream world or xarc, if we don't get a 100 piece we come at a lost fund wise.

    May not be as important, but if more shells start at the same zones and at the same time, there's always that 1 out who knows chance someone got another ls's glass, either on purpose or by accident.

    System isn't perfect, but its been around too long to try to change it without causing problems. Be like saying, "Hey wars, we're making it so your maneaters, ridills, martial bhujs, joyuese can't be used by wars. Oh and Dark Knights can't use kc and relic haste only adds 5%. Ninjas, sorry but we gave paladin provoke at 40 and thief can cast your spells at the same level."

      I don't think this will be the case. Many ppl quit doing dynamis because they got the gear they were wanting. The only reason alot of ls's still do city runs anymore is for the currency to either sell or fund a relic. If currency prices drop to the point where it's cheaper and easier to buy the currency or the ls's come away from a city run at a monetary loss, many will stop doing it entirely.

          Back when the economy was screwed to hell and back, 1 million was cheap. What happened then? Gillers stormed Dynamis, coins dropped in price, and the game saw a surge of Relics as they weren't as impossible to obtain for the time being. Infact that was one of the things that showed SE how bad the economy was (Beastmen blood for 100k+ a stack for example).

          SE said they might lower the prices, and honestly I can see them doing just that. But not by an excessive amount to the point Joe Schmoe can fund his own runs by farming for less then a week in Pashow. And I imagine, not too long after lowering the price of Dynamis, SE will add in that rumored update to make the original Relic weapons slightly stronger to get more people into it.

            How will the prices keep dropping at the same time people abandon Dynamis in droves? I think some people here fail at basic supply and demand.

            Lower entry costs will only drive down the price of currency if they have *already* led to *more* people doing Dynamis and increasing the supply. Otherwise they'd just keep more gil in the economy and counter the current deflation (slightly).

            But if currency really deflates to the point that it takes only 10 PCCs to fund a relic... what exactly is wrong with that? The challenges associated with relic that you have to do yourself (attestation mobs, weapons) are ok, but the gil price is just retarded and always has been. Gilbuyers have relics, it's a fact that SE can/will do nothing to fix, so why *not* make them more accessible to non-gilbuyers?

              Because most of those guys who are after relics don't see it as an effort/reward-in-a-videogame kind of thing, but as a brickwall designed to separate common folks from super leet gilbuyers and/or crazy people who would devote more than 2 years to have a not-worth-it-at-all kinda item just for bragging rights.

                I think what's going to happen with Dynamis is rather obvious, they're gonna do what they did with Limbus and Einherjar:
                • Lower entry fee
                • Let people enter zones the leader (with required wins) selects, instead of requiring all to have certain wins.
                • Adjust drop rates a smidge
                Probably the best way to go about it.

                  I hope they don't change the clear requirement, Dynamis isn't like Limbus and Einherjar. Once you clear Beaucedine, you alway have Beaucedine done. Einherjar (as far as I know) you constantly have to go back and re-clear. It's really not that hard to get Dynamis clears.

                    Einherjar has much in common with the design of Dynamis.

                    Not Instanced.
                    Low Drop rates.
                    People were spamming Tier III's and Odin's Chamber.
                    People were not getting wins they needed.

                    Dynamis:

                    Not instanced
                    Northlands have really low drop rates
                    People spam Northlands.
                    People are not getting wins they need.

                    As such, I think similar adjustments are indeed appropriate and in no way game-breaking.

                      Then they're doing it wrong. Spam zones people needs clear and what has the current best selling currency. Then 2-3 northern and 1-2 dreamland.

                          They should raise the drop rate on currency just a bit (like say the boss always drops 1 100 piece) to balance out the inevitable drop in currency prices a bit, but it's mostly the relic armors that need drop rate increases.

                            They should give NIN's more throwing weapons that doesn't cost a fortune to craft/buy. I hope they do this under the "Major battle-related tweaks and additions." category . . . . I hope.
