Yeah, yeah; I was more thinking of a situation where you already had an avatar out (such as for a buff); if you had to Summon it you'd probably be better off just tossing out Carbuncle, running like hell, and coming back to raise your party.

Like I said Sevv, I'm talking about last ditch effort scenarios, not just "oh, we got a link. what shall we do about this little thing." I'm talking "Everyone is in red, they won't sleep, and if they don't die soon we will". As in, scenarios where whether you use it or not you're probably going to die. If you're unlucky, you die a bit faster. If you're lucky, you survive.

Even then Feba, Unless both mobs are say under 10% The Mp is better spent on Curaga or Curaga II, not even counting that both of those spells would go off quicker then summoning an avatar, making it attack the target, popping off 2hr, and then using the Astral Flow ability.\


So if you already have the best avatar out, already engaged, and the mobs are under 10% then Astral flow for the win.

If I can convince my 3 like perma-do-everything-together friends to move to cerberus, I'd be there. We're all looking for a new end-game scene. MOAR riddillz do you need it?

There is only one person on this forum that does anything related to worm swallowing with Omni.

I don't disagree that the situations where it's a good idea are very rare, but they do exist.

Yeah, but emergencies, by their nature, are abnormalities. As a DRG, I didn't have very many parties after 30 or so where I tanked, but of course I would provoke off the mages in an emergency. Even when I was playing support BLM, I would nuke like hell if I needed to kill something dead. It's rare, and it's outside the normal role, but you have to do what you have to do to survive sometimes.

There is very little call for the use of astral flow in emergencies, because of the massive use of mp and the fact of the damage output wont save the party in 85% of link situations. They would be wasting mp that would be used to keep people alive, sicking carby on the link would be more help and more mp wise.

There is 69 levels before that... and smns are healing those 69 levels.

Yeah, but emergencies, by their nature, are abnormalities. As a DRG, I didn't have very many parties after 30 or so where I tanked, but of course I would provoke off the mages in an emergency. To be fair, there is MORE than ample imformation to know exactly what goes on in the end-level scene.

Even if Feba never read a wiki article about anything having to do with anything post 70, BBQ complains about it enough, and Sevv makes enough off-collar references for him to have a general idea.

IE, I've never been to a Kings camp, but I know what it's like there.
