    Odd, alt+tab has always worked for me in a pinch
    I agree though, this seems to be happening more and more often. Another attack on the servers perhaps? I wonder if thats what the maintenance last monday was for, said something about server upgrades.

        Caspian you realize forcing your character out like is bad to do right? It really messes with database and can corrupt them. Which could be partly the reason for logging difficulties, if you get thrown out by accident then ok. If you are using something like that to get out quickly you are taking a risk of causing more server damage.

            All World Login Difficulty Issue

            As we have previously informed in "All Worlds Login Technical Difficulties Notice (8/16)" and "All Worlds Login Technical Difficulties Notice (8/18)," we have been experiencing technical difficulties with the login to FINAL FANTASY XI since Aug. 16.
            In case you experience login difficulties, please wait a while and try again later.

            Also during the maintenance period announced on "All World Server Maintenance (Aug. 22)," there will be an update to resolve this matter.

            We apologize for the inconvenience.
