As long as its color matches the motherboard, it doesn't make a difference to me what brand it is.

Yeah I just realized that.
What's his system RAM though? And from what I've read, the RAM on the GPU is actually less important than the # of cores/bus bandwidth etc.

What RAM are you running though? "4 GB" is extremely generic - speed/maker? Corsair Vengeance 1666+ or gtfo.

Re: FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Official Benchmark - Exploration Now Available!
New PC gets 10,000 on maximum, which is a little disappointing. I have a 770 4GB vs 670 2GB, and a quad-core 4.4Ghz CPU vs 3.2Ghz CPU.Originally posted by DakAttack View Post8396 on maximum.

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but someone has a sig with a 99,999 score.

Because the monster is afraid of their giant e-peen.Originally posted by Aeni View PostMaybe their 20,000 score will give them a 10% boost to their stats and cause the monster to randomly flee in terror ...

Re: FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Official Benchmark - Exploration Now Available!
For some reason, the settings in benchmark and the effects produced are not anything like what the settings in-game and the effects it produced. Either they've made last minute changes to the graphic engines or they've really butchered the graphic quality to accomodate more players.
On high with AF pushed upwards, I was expecting a somewhat "nice" looking game, and instead I got effects on crafting (e.g., using an ability) where the light effect, that "burst", would look like utter shit (something you'd find in a PS2 game no less)
I'll put in a beta bug report, if indeed it is a bug, about this.

Re: FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Official Benchmark - Exploration Now Available!
I get the following:-
Medium 1680x1050 (my monitor res)4144 (High)
High 1680x1050 - 2715 "Fairly high"
Looking at the benchmark the detail difference between medium and high wern't that noticable and I would enjoy the game at medium no problem and it wouldn't stutter at serious dense npc/pc locations. so its playable on my old system quite well.

Re: FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Official Benchmark - Exploration Now Available!
Well, I feel like I've gone back in time to when I had my crappy pc with my low benchmark score that I had for FF11 (what a coincidence that I scored low on this one as well XD). But at any rate, I guess I'm excited. Just I ono I'm a little apprehensive considering how things went before. I think I'll wait and see how everything shapes up before I go upgrading my pc for a better experience.
