Barometz ... NM?

Wasn't sure if this was an NM, HNM, or what ... he hits hard, takes very little damage, so I'm going to assume a huge level difference between me and w/e this is.

Barometz is an open world NM that was added in patch 1.17 http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...tch-1.17-Notes.

I like seeing those comments saying how a 32 MRD soloed him. LOL? I don't think so.

(I wish I could get my old shield abilities back ... changes to GLA was unnecessary and only catered to the extremely lazy players)

Pre-patch maybe, if he was physical level 50 with good gear.

No damn way that's happening now. And you can tell it's an NM right away by the ?? where it's level should be...

Someone at 39 pre-patch said it was not an easy fight. That's 7 ranks between him and the other guy. Good gear? Remember, gear had optimal levels and there was nothing pre-patch that anyone else couldn't get. This was before the new dungeons and rewards.

Incredibly intense, but incredibly fun. I nearly died early on, but figured out how to roll cooldowns (if you ever played a DK in WoW, then you'll be able to figure out the GLA system really good) None of the GLA abilities are "sacred" especially in this kind of fight. It's actually possible to solo "elites" given the proper rank differences and being able to use everything in your bag of tricks.

Epic fight, due to the fact that 4 monkeys were also beating on me, so I had to "kite" in a circle trying to pick off the monkeys and keep myself up. Didn't go oom, but probably would've if I was 1 rank lower. fight lasted about 12 minutes, give or take a minute.
