Probably going to add in the Arcanist and Mystic classes next.
Mystic is similar to WoW's Shaman with totem-esque abilities, while Arcanist uses magic from/with technology.

But on a serious note... I agree (as usual) with Aeni on this one. The introduction of more Melee classes would be a stupid move at this point. If musketeer works similar to Corsair, it would offer a support class to a game that already has a very stark line between Magic/Melee. I would like to think of it as a Corsair because the guild is in the port city... and musketeer seems like it would be a pirate.
SMN would be amazing, but as I've learned in the past... skepticism is healthy with squeenix. I doubt that they would complicate an already unfinished game by adding in a pet job this early. They have more basic and less complicated things (bugs) to work out before I would even want to see SMN implimented.
That being said, I'm curious to see what they do add in as the new magic job.

Maybe something along the lines of BLU? They don't have too many monster skills that are well defined enough to introduce BLU just yet.
Maybe RDM? With the combinations available between THAUM and CONJ, it's pretty easy to make a RDM already.... minus the sword.
Perhaps SCH? See: RDM
What about BRD? Doubtful if they make Musketeer the way I hope they're going to. At least not just yet.

- The ability to abandon a local crafting levequest when you realize that it would take you too long to walk all the way to the camp you need to go to to cash in on the reward for the levequest you finished 8 days ago but havent had the time/anima to make it all the way out there just to turn it in OMGWTFTAKINGUPSPACE.
- Balance to Single Target/AOE Spells. Reduce the damage on AoE and Increase the Damage on Single Target PLZ. Or at least Increase the MP cost to cast an AoE. I know I'm going to get a lot of hate from this one... but lets be honest... it's balanced that way. We don't need people pulling Korakola Tunnel XP parties in this game without needing a SMN. (Think 6 Conj parties killing hordes of MOBS while they run through dungeons)

It's the same in FFXI, now that they lifted the cap to 99, but that doesn't mean they need to have it to 99 anytime soon. My gut feeling is that either they'll adopt the same approach to cap lifting (a la Maat) or they will have a similar "near perma cap" for a couple of expansions for players to feel their way through ... or maybe even just do what Blizzard did with WoW and that end game will constantly scale in 5 rank increments.
