Tanaka is only producing 14. It's Komoto who's in charge of the game in general this time around. XI was Tanaka's baby. his vision of a "perfect" online FF (to paraphrase him, I forget his exact wording). Now it's Komoto's turn.

A small part of me died when you mentioned that game...

At any rate, I don't necessarily think the game is garbage, just right now I have no motivation to play. When I heard about to changes coming, I decided to log on and see if maybe I could push one of my jobs to 20 that wasn't a crafter.. I looked at things and said I need to put all this stuff in storage, and then I need to sell off crap I don't need "NO CRAFTING TILL UPDATE"... 10 mins later and a jumbled mess that still wasn't sorted through I gave up and went to play dungeon fighter. Honestly I think of FF14 the same way as I thought of puppet master when I first played it... Which was I'll play it when they fix it, otherwise it's not enjoyable.

Yes I know I won’t be level 50 like all of the people in the giant over hyped linkshell I was from in limblum that I left... but guess what when the stuff is fixed and things are more smooth I'll enjoy it and have fun. warning run on sentence of doom I won’t have to play the zerg rush because nothing else works game, or deal with unreasonably laggy interface, skills not functioning correctly, feeling like I'm every other job with a different base attack (pugalist with skewer, trammel, shadowbind, leg sweep, and anything thing else that does an added effect so I can get more xp), walking because the transportation system sucks and anima is too expensive, wanting to repair my gear but opting to just npc repair because even though I can repair everything it takes like 15 mins just to do my own repairs on a good day in a cave away from people when it's not raining on off peak hours in a far away from the crystal camps area....

This so reminds me of a patch done to dungeon fighter (which I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with). One of the classes was revamped in the original version of the game but in the American version it was still watered down and hard/frustrating/boring to play. Well the patch hit a month or so ago, and the class is now extremely fun, my friend who played one of the subs of this class all the way to game cap at the time, is complaining how he's bored he has nothing to do but sit around in pvp while he waits on the next level cap extend. Me on the other hand, I'm having a blast because I stopped 40 levels under the cap so I could enjoy my time playing the game, instead of dealing with something that obviously needed it's fix for a reason.

tl;dr version- Basically in it's current state the game punishes you for every action you take that requires a check, and I like to multi task a lot (that's why of all the jobs I played in ffxi puppet master was one of the ones I enjoyed the most (outside of the hideous artifact gear )). But I can't deal with a game that makes it harder for me to do more things because of design flaws that weren't ironed out trying to beat other games before they released. S-E has shown that they are going to try to fix this before it goes the way of FEZ... Let’s hope they do.
Side note…. Why the fuck can’t I turn off the weather sqeinx… Just because I like rain in real life, doesn’t mean my average system does… Give me a fuckin weather option for fuck's sake..

Now they just have to add chocobo usage and new classes (Fencer, Musketeer, etc.) and improve thing soon, mew!

At this point, free trial extension and the fixes won't be enough to make people stay, they have to give incentives to give them reasons to keep playing, mew! They shouldn't withhold content that is already ready!

The only person I've ever seen "meow" as much as you was a homeless batshit insane asian dude in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco (read: the ghetto) rolling around in a wheelchair and "meowing" every time someone approached him. I would not aim to emulate that if I were you.

Please link me to a "fraction" of useful threads by J9 (that wouldn't have been posted by another member [IE: Announcements on the lodestone or magazine/famitsu/etc. links]) and then we'll have a discussion. Also, we're allowed to be super critical. J9 has not even touched the flaming garbage that is FFXIV, yet he/she/it has the loudest opinion concerning the game in comparison to any other person on this forum. It's also quite annoying to have someone with such a clearly biased opinion constantly saying "mewmewmewmewmewmewmemwemwemwemwemwmewmewmewmewmemwemwemwew" at the end of her "the game will get better! ^^" threads.

She/he/it posts the same crap here on this site as she/he/it does on other FFXI/FFXIV fansites. The same exact threads, word for word.

He has a point though, why not just /blist J9 instead of complaining about her over and over and over again?

The only explanation is they just love to hate J9 and would be very sad if there wasn't a J9 anymore.



As for the Paperpuppet guy all I can say is the good news are he can now /blist J9. (Hurray!)

Registering does have it's perks after all.
