That's because "you're welcome" isn't something you customarily say in Japanese. The auto-translator phrase is even a little rude. You can't succinctly express the concept in Japanese any more than you could make a direct catch-all translation of yoroshiku. It's slightly surprising they added it at all.

Well with more RAM available this time they damn well better have more basic and even a few complex phrases.

Theres no "Are you alone?" in the translator so I'm abandoning it and calling it a failure.

Now that you mention it Grandma, does FFXIV have a translator function in it, out of curiosity?

Yes I believe they do. I haven't tried it but then again I haven't had a lot of time to play recently. I believe when you are typing, you press Tab and it will translate. So the same as FFXI but I don't know about phrases and such.

I think that's freaking epic that you can switch classes, gear, and equip abilities all in 1 keystroke.

Woo, always loved the customizable (yet limited) macros. Glad to see they're expanding it... last thing I wanted to see was action bars everywhere on my screen.

... With the text commands, I can see people doing the middle finger text, or the rofl coptor or fail truck with the new macros they have. Esp if the person is from wow with as many lines as we now have...
