Game looks so gorgeous, I am getting so excited, and so weirdly sad...

Admitedly, I have taken for granted how nice and beautiful it was to look up in the boyahada tree, or to see the fireworks of bastok while In Altepa Desert. There are so many things about 11 that I'm going to miss

I just hope they keep the servers around indefinetly, I mean, eventually if Computer power keeps growing, the maintenance on XI can't be that difficult right?

Personally I'm sick of pirates, in all the Cutscenes I'm either getting shot at, punched, bitched at or yelled at by pirates and their cousins the "Cudas", I'm also getting tired of the pirate lengo, (Argh!, me mateys, "Venturer come'er!) .

While it was funny in some instances that there was a lalafell who told me a story about the sirens (female pirates) taking men, making them into sex slaves then hanging them by the wangs when they can no longer perform. (I'm totally serious)

I'm going with a different city at start, probably Gridania... I like forests...

the PS3 trailer shows a part of Ul'dah, and some new areas during the cutscenes, probably take place around Ul'dah, and we seen a part of Gridania with that wheel thing.

the starting city for beta is just one of three, and the theme of this city is pirates.....the other two will be different.

Eh I wouldn't say Pirates exactly. They're just dressed that way, but Limsa Lominsa is NAVY town. Hell, it's run by an Admiral! Which I think is just freaking awesome.


I'm really curious however to see what Gridania and Ul'dah are like. There's also Ishgard, but we can't start there

i know corsair AF 1/2 is AMAZING , but why the heck is FFXIV keep using corsair AF as base.

It feel like FFXIV is just FFXI in HD.....

The whole "make full armor then hide details for low level variants" was being discussed as a solution for "ps2 limitation" years ago over fan forums.

Glad to see SE put that into consideration when making this game.

I'm actually very curious about Bard this time around, since in XI you had actual weapons along with your instruments... I don't want to use my voice or instrument as my tool of death. I had enough of that with FF4 & 5 tyvm.

Some posted this video over at the beta forums, and expressed their desire to see the same type of detail in FFIXV.... my god I forgot already how wonderful FFXI's scenery was...... *sniff*
