    FFXIV beta starts March 11th

    From the boys of Eorzeapedia.com straight from Vanafest..
    Well VanaFest 2010 brought some welcome news to the Eorzean faithful (and a ton to the Vana’diel faithful). The reports are coming in, the official VanaFest page has been updated, and it seems that Beta notices will start as early as today, with beta testing starting on March 11, 2010! So stay tuned – sounds like a lot of players are about to get their beta on

      Today if you were a Vanafest attendee lol. But I doubt anyone here was..

          there still has to be a ps3 beta test at some point, even if it's just during the open beta. all games have to be tested on any system they are developed for, and for mmorpgs especially tested online using that system too to avoid more problems at launch.

              ya I guess that makes sense. the good thing is that back at gamescom, they said they would like "everyone" to try FFXIV at some point. so yea that open beta on ps3 will be bigger and more popular than the MAG open beta back then. xD

              I guess it will be some psn store download.

                Well now it seems as if eorzeapedia jumped the gun.. I don't think these people quite know wth they're talking about with any of this stuff..

                    I haven't read whatever they posted but if they put up shit like "Beta starts <insert date here>!!" then yes they are at fault. You can say something like "Could the beta be starting on <insert date here>?? See what SE has said!" and then if they were wrong it would be understandable. You have a responsibility to be as accurate as possible or word your news in such a way to make sure people know that you aren't sure. Post crap that isn't the truth again and again and eventually people will just stop taking your site seriously or coming to it at all.....well most people but then there are some who like that shit...

                      well their track record is eons better than websites like IGN and gamespot when it comes to accuracy of information at times.

                      even magazines can interpret interviews and company announcements incorrectly. It's happened before, and Eorzeapedia should not be singled out because of this rare mistake.

                              Yes, it seems a wave of invites went out @ ~7:50 EST this morning. NA and EU have gotten in. It also seems only current XI players got in the alpha/first beta/whatever you want to call it.
