I was sayng even though PC gets the beta first. both PC and PS3 still release the full game at the sametime.

It's still a WORLDWIDE RELEASE for both PC AND PS3. only PC is getting sooner testing for the beta.

but the actual launch both systems get it the same day.

But even so.. Where do you get that fact/idea from? Is there some scientific study from the University of South Kentucky I missed?

But I do agree with beta testing now being more for playing for people. That's why the serious testers may need to do more to make sure that most of the bugs are reported. If I make it into beta, you can bet I'll be on them bugs like stank on shit.

Maybe this is new to some of you but FFXIV is supposed to be a game for the PC, then a port to the consoles. Unlike FFXI which was a game for the PS2 and a port for the rest of the platforms. So it makes sense that they start the beta on the PC.

I don't see anywhere mentioned that it wont be tested on the consoles either, overreacting there ..

True.. but just like Kai said.. It has to be beta tested on PS3 just like XI had to be tested on all 3 platforms. And that's also what I was trying to explain to everyone on other forums. It's ridiculous dude..

I read that PC beta will be released first, then PS3. I never ever saw PC beta only. Go look in the thread that TGM made. Its in there somewhere lol.

well PC is harder to work with and harder to fix and figure out the problems, that's why PC is getting the testing priority since a lot of things can go wrong with PC. That's why PC to them is priority to test and get right first until they are further in the beta.

key word in there is "testing" and alot of "beta testers" don do that anymore -.-

I will admit I like getting into betas, because it lets me try out an MMORPG without having to pay for it at all, but at the same time I at least try and look for bugs and things as I play, and when I find one I do what a beta tester is suppose to do, report it.

Beta testing has lost its meaning. Back in the day we felt a part of something, like we were helping to make the game good. It was funny how we would be so competitive to find the bugs first. lol Leveling was like an afterthought, it was about finding bugs first and if we needed a level to do that then ok. Now its all about leveling and playing the game. I've seen people piss and moan about a bug in game. I'd ask "Did you go to the forums and report it?" and they'd act like that wasn't their job.
