I'm guessing this is about what we can expect from game-rendered cut scenes... but even in FFXI there's a lot of stuff going on in cut scenes that you can't do in the game itself. In particular, motion capture related stuff like sitting on tables, and anything implied by the backpack.

This trailer tells us very little about gameplay, but does tell us again that the graphics will be very shiny.

Don't take this video to much to heart on what we can do in a relaxed condition. This looks more "movie" then it should be. Now the part where the Roegadyn and Miqo'te meeting in the field, that looked like it was in game stuff.

I am enjoying the look of the game so far, very happy to see FFXII art meeting what appears to be FFVI era sensibilities.

Tables with flashlights in them are used to view Guild Leves more easily. Notice the color of the Roegadyn's shirt.
That may be clothes that Pugilists might use to skill up faster.

Something that's a bit funny, this Roegadyn makes a surprised expression as the Hyur is picking out a guidleve, a few frames before this screen.

Another Roegadyn that gives off the feeling that they are a Pugilist.

This Roegadyn actually has a hand axe, you can catch it as the camera zooms out from his face. That fact, in conjunction with how this Miqo'te was situated, looking down at the ground, just before she turned around, suggests the possibility that both of them are disciples of the land, out together on a harvesting trip.

hee hee I quickly checked the list of new threads, saw no one posted it and proceeded to copy & paste lol.

MY girlfriends computer is so slow.. and it's even worse on slow internet days lol. Maybe next time..

I'm even more hyped up for it now! *sigh* ODST just isn't enough to hold my attention in the mean time sadly, as there's no matchmaking for Firefight (way to drop the ball Bungie) & I've gotten all the solo campaign achievements... & Halo 3 is as broken as ever. Halo Wars has also taken a massive hit in people playing.

People are getting tired of Halo. Wait till modern warfare 2 comes out lol.

That trailer made absolutely no sense to me. I thought the first one was put together much better.

However, there does seem to be a scene using in-game art in this one. The first images on the ship(?) after the text “Lies a realm over which the Twelve hold vigil” aren’t CGI images (probably an in-game cutscene but it's using the same game art I believe we'll be playing with). The simpler geometry on the characters (particularly loose clothing) and the environmental objects is pretty easy to spot when you pause the video. But it looks nice (as do the animations in that particular scene).

On topic, it did look like some of that was in-game, especially right at the start where a few of the models appeared slightly grainy and not SE's usual polished perfection. Remember, Tanaka said that what we saw at TGS was only 40-50% complete and to expect big changes from the finished product.

Oh, right. I didn’t comment on the two characters in the field because it was mainly just two character models and some simple terrain shots (and we’ve seen similar models, if not the same ones, in SE’s emote animation demo already). Still, doesn't make it any less impressive. I suspect that's the type of in-game cutscene we'll see during play.

On the other hand, I noticed the in-game character models being used in part on the ship battle but I’m not convinced we’ll ever see anything like that during the game. I think it’s a CGI using some of the in-game art as its elements. The effects seem a little too good for in-game, but I wouldn’t mind if I ended up being pleasantly surprised.

I’m not sure which first-group scene you’re referring to, so I can’t comment on that.

even though it's 50% complete, I don't think the final version will look that much different from what we have been seeing.
But with the secret of possible more races, and other things, it might be quite different.

Well we gotta wait till jan so CoD it is lol. But if you reserve your copy of MAG, you'll get the beta key for the gamestop beta starting Nov 9th.

And yes there is another article where the graphics were only at 50%.
