Black Halo WS Quest

I've been whacking away at Robber Crabs for 2 days now trying to get those 300 "points" to remove the elemental bonus on my latent effect. Every single one of them checks Easy Prey, low evasion, high defense. Are my points counting? I'd hate to think I've wasted all this time. If someone who's done this quest could inform me, it would be appreciated.

Also, will the latent effect just dissapear? Like, can I just go into Items or Equipment right after my last WS and it will be gone? Thanks again to any responses.

the effect dissapears, text on weapon doesnt.

try turning it in already.

as long as the monster is EP or higher your points count.

Should be easy to tell if you've earned the 300 points yet. Like the above poster said, if you still get the stats from the latent effect (usually some +HP or resists or whatever), then you haven't gotten enough points yet. Unequip the staff and see if your stats change. If not, you're ready to go.
