A few days ago, a higher ranking JP joined an experiene PT I put togother(took 2 deaths in CN hunting Treasure Chests so had to make it up for my static PT that night). He was seemed extremely knowledgable about alot of aspects of the game, from leveling area's to EQ. I took this opportunity to ask him about how I was performing as a WHM, and if there was anything more I could be doing to improve it. Well, after a few pointers, I bought up the question of Haste, since he was our Blink Tank, of course I made sure to keep it on him at all times, so much so that there would be times I would overwrite my own spell from one fight before.
Anyway, I asked him what other classes he thought would need it given group make up. Here is where I recieved a shock, this is what ...from what I understand after going over alot of the posts on this fourm:
* Haste * It does lower recast time on spells, i tried it out when soloing, i did a Flash without Haste, and then a Flash with it, my recast timer got shaved a few secs. I forgot exactly how much but i feel it was significant.
This is what he had to say about that:
*That is total not true*
/boggle...
He said Haste has nothing to do w/recast timers at all, it doesnt matter what job you cast it on, the only thing Haste will do is speed up your attack, nothing else.
So....anyone else have some input on this. Tested, proven ?
