    Hiya, first time poster, long time lurker. I've opened the quest for WHM AF3 and since most of my friends are 55 or higher, I want to finally get the quest done.

    My question is, exactly how hard is that NM at Fei Yin? The bilingual page recommends a full alliance, and even then, it seems to suggest that you may not win. For those of you that have done it, do you think it really requires a full alliance?

    This is a problem for me, because I really don't feel I could bring together a full alliance to help me. Is it possible in a 12 man alliance? Is it completely impossible with just one PT?

    Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

    Of cource, full alliance is best.(I done with shouted AF tour)

    Most important point is enemy's weapon skill. It very dangerouns for lv60 jobs. In my case lv70 member*s* dead by ws.

    Expect this problem you can win it with 12 member alliance.

        You need extreme patience as level unlock 1 papyrus .

        In my case
        1st party: first item drop after 2:30 but lose lotin
        2nd party: after 3:00 but lose lotin
        3rd party: I got it!

          I'm looking to do this quest soon. In all the info I have it says the first step is to "kill the Dark Stalker at the Eldieme Mound" to get the call ball. Could anyone tell me where to find the dark stalker? Thanks.

            Dark Stalkers - south entrance of Eldieme, three in the northernmost room, about 6 if you drop down in the center next to the "Hume Bones". Repop time est 14 minutes 30 seconds, drop rate = not good.

            I recommend joining Skill-age and Genkai 1 Papyrus parties. We killed 32 dark stalkers and since I was the only white mage, I got the bell.

            The Marquis at Fei Yin is a joke with level 70+ people. you only need 12 people to take him down if you have at least 2 level 70+ people helping. If they are that level, Jigensatsu can not do more damage than you can cure. I completed the quest with an alliance of 15 people and to tell the truth, that was completely overdoing it - even Mizer Murphy was a lot harder than he was (area attack curse).
            I believe most sigs are like the people they represent - useless, loud and obnoxious.

              Jigensatsu seems to ignore defense (like harisenpon and Eyes on Me), so you have to play careful - Estya is right: Easiest way is to get a level 70+ monk to help, get some of the white mages to lock on to the monk (harder to target and heal in an alliance) and throw cure 3 every time you see him "ready" it. (english name is Dimensional Death)

              The second time I did this (to help out a whm I couldn't invite to the first one because he had no suzu/bell), there were 6 whm other than me, so three of us sat back and threw Cure IV and V at him instead (better damage than holy). My healing skill went up very fast. ^^

                It may be just me, but I find it extremely irritating that this game is set up this way. Why the hell should it take 15 damn people to kill 1 monster that gives you access to 1 lousy piece of clothing??? The same for the Summoner primes, lvl 70+ people plus alliances blah blah blah just to take it down, its truly rediculous! Plus if you dont have or know anyone this level you are essentially screwed, what is the point of making it this irritatingly difficult? I understand it should be a challenge, but nothing should need that kind of absurdity to beat, just for 1 AF item or 1 Summoner Prime summons.

                  first, thank you so much for all the informative replies. ^^

                  i managed to catch a whm af3 tour fairly recently and it went very well. we did it multiple times, and only had a few deaths. those deaths could have also been very easily prevented, but the drks and wars wanted to have fun and didnt feel like holding back. they were actually *trying* to pull away aggro from the pld. if they had played seriously we would have had no deaths. we did it in a full 18 member alliance, but considering how easy it was, i think a 12 man alliance played seriously is very doable.

                  lastly i totally agree with sutra's statement. it isnt very fair to most players who for whatever reason can't play everyday and have to keep renetworking their friends. because essentially thats the only way to get af, to help other people with theirs, and hope that they will help you. making things party mandatory seems reasonable to me, but asking a player to assemble an alliance when most of the other alliance members get nothing out of it seems unfair to me.
