What should i do?????
I am a LvL 12 elvaan WHM right now. I was looking to eventually become a summoner, can someone tell me what my best moves would be to become a summoner? should i get a sub job when im lvl 18? if so then what?

I am under the impression that you NEED a subjob as soon as you can get one. Try subbing BLM for the extra mp (something elvaans sorely lack in), till you can do the quest at 30. Keep in mind that you will only come with carbuncle, and unless you are level 60, with lvl 60 friends to kill the other avatars, life as a summoner will be pretty boring for a while. I plan on ecking my summoner as close to 30 as I can (though I might just do BLM, dunno yet), get my WHM to 60, kill the summons, and there you go. -
Ok so get Blm as a sub as soon as i can and keep lvling whm and when lvl 30 whm switch blm to sumoner as a sub job. Do you have to be lvl 60 sumoner to get new summons or lvl 60 any other job? What will happen if i switch whm to my sub job and sumoner as my main?Comment

Get BLM to 15 before you get your subjob quest, then sub it, and your WHM should be fine till it hits 30. At that point you can do the summoner quest.
You do not need to be a level 60 summoner, just a lvl 60 job. If you switch your main to be your sub, then it will be auctomatically half of whatever level your new main is.

What do you mean get blm to lvl 15 before subbing it? Give up whm and get black instead and get that to lvl 15 then get whm back as main and sub blm???Comment

She means get your blm to 15 so that you can be a 30whm/15blm when you go for the summoner quest. A 30whm/1blm combo isn't going to help you very much.Comment
