    I been WAR/MNK 30/15 for a week now. Been farming a lot in King Ron tomb, Davoi, and Bead. Other than the long down time to heal back up, I must say I love how quickly I dispatch mobs with only getting hit a few times and sometimes none at all. But on a few occations, I will kill the mob before it even hits me once. This usually happens when i have 100%+ TP. Hit the mob once, wait until a split second before next swing and hit Sturmwind, auto hit follows, sometimes double hit, and then counter sometimes follows. The mob is dead in 10secs. This usually happens 1 in 4mobs. I must say I like the ratio. I don't know if this is a common thing for most ppl, but being able to counter, double hit, and dodge a lot really makes up for using Great Axe with it's long delay. Of course this only happens when going after easy/decent mobs.
    But one thing that annoys me about counter, is that you don't get any TP for it. But at least it still can do Critical Damage.
    With Subtle Blow, I haven't gotten too many Special Skills done by the mob. Usually the mob's skill will be done near the end of the battle, when only 1 hit will kill it.
    I don't know if this is a glitch..but when i cast Boost, 9 out of 10 times, the damage I do is LESS than normal. When I'm using Berserk and Mithkabobs, I do an average damage of 95 to Orc Fighters. When I cast boost, I do about 80-90. Even when I cast boost about 5times, I don't see a big jump in damage. You would think getting your ATT to 280 from 173, the damage would be significantly higher. But usually it's about 1-5 more than average.
    I don't even bother using it in PTs except for Hate control.
    Other than the small shortcomings, I must say I'm happy with this combo. Sure a NIN sub might be better for a lot of reasons, but having to spend a lot of gils to just farm, is a little redundent I've done the WHM sub. Not really usefull until your main is lvl 42+ and your whm sub is 21. Devine seal cure3 has saved my butt many of times With Regen....non stop farming But whm sub really shows how usefull it is when your main is 50 and whm sub is 25. Auto heal, Invisible, Regen, Sneak...farming, NM hunting, Chest hunting, Questing......too easy.

    Attack vrs def has a nonlinear dependance. Thus if your attack is already much higher than a mods def, boosting the daylights out of it isn't going to have a big effect.

    However, if your attack is merely on par, or noticably lower than the target mob, it will noticably increase your hit rate and damage. As a Monk, I've noticed that I can reliably damage shelled creatures when I spam boost in battle, when I would otherwise be doing little to no damage.

    It's nice for adding that little bit of extra punch in for a ws, too.

      That's because damage is capped.
