Is Pentathrust still worth leveling up polearm for?

62 drg/sam fully leveled told me stick to axe and great axe cause pentathrust is wack after the nerf, your conclusions?

Only reason non-Dragoons leveled up Polearm was for Pentathrust. Only reason they used Pentathrust is for farming, as it would allow you to build up TP really fast and thus make farming easier by being able to unleash Pentathrust almost every monster.

Seeing as how the nerf has taken away Pentathrusts ability to return TP quickly, Pentathrust loses its redeeming value; don't bother unless you feel like skilling it up to see what it looks like or mess around with it.

the only circumstance u'll still use Penta over Axe and GAxe as a WAR, besides farming, would be when u fight mobs that r weak to thrusting attacks, such as Bats, Flies, or Mandragora's. while TP return is like a joke now, it still is a strong WS. also, u migh need Double Thrust (or Vorpal) from time to time for Distortion renkei, if nobody else in ur party can use a WS w/ Transfixtion attribute.

remember, WAR is a weapon specialist. while no WS' of Axe or GAxe carries a Transfixtion attribute, keeping the polearm skill up to the cap helps u offer the wider range of renkei options to ur parties, which eventually is ur job as a WAR.
