Lv50 with WAR subbed...

  • Lv50 with WAR subbed...

    Once a job like for instance, DRK or PLD, DRG, etc. reach 50, they get Double Attack and pretty soon they get War Cry, etc. Does this make the WAR useless once the main hits near 50? I do not want to limp my way to higher Lv's getting last resort invites. (The invites where the PT says, "Hey, there is a [class] on... he's the only one our Lv we invite... should we invite him? Or wait...?") Are WARs invites like that post-30? Or, are they just as good as the other jobs?

    War get asked to tank more than often post 30 since pld is rather rare and nin is also very rare. Usually tank are in short supply, nobody likes to be squished on.

    I guess it depends of the amount of dmg dealer vs tank vs support on your server in your level range. If there's like 2-3 pld and 8-10 drk/drg/sam lfg in one the chance a war get picked is slim cause you're just another melee among them. I would say it's like many other classes, sometimes you get instant groups, other time you'll stay lfg for hours, but i still think i get invites faster than dmg dealers sometimes since those are legion.

    Dmg dealer/war at 50 do get double attack, but war also get advantages from their subs. war/mnk get focus coupled with aggressor you got a perma accuracy buff up. war/nin got blink tanking and dual wield 2. War/thf isn't really that usefull from 50 60 and war/sam don't offer much till 60. War/whm is still the wanna-be pld.

    Dmg dealers will do more dmg than a war/mnk but war/mnk will have a great accuracy rating. pld will outtank the war/nin, but war/nin can blink special attacks, like physical ws and nasty stuff like ancient magic, and will do more dmg than pld with 2hand or dual wielding.

    Last thing, warcry isn't a good ability for dmg dealers since activating it generate hate like a provoke. Most war use warcry has their emergency provoke on a 5min timer.
