  • AF3 (headgear)

    Hmm I am wondering whether you just need to have activated the eldieme part of your af, walk into the nest, get a key and that's it?

    can't be that easy, is it?

    Cheers!

    it's that easy, really.

    not to mention u might gonna spend hours for the key.

    btw, AF3 refers to the body part in case of WAR. some refer to the head part as AF5, but is a bit misleading.

    fyi, japanese players refer to each as follows;

    AF1 - the first one for weapons
    AF2 - the second part of the consecutive AF quests, thus foot for WAR
    AF3 - the last part of the consecutive AF quests, thus body for WAR

    Kote or Mashu - arm part, no name of "AF" here, while some choose to say "AF Kote." they never use "AF4" for this.

    for other 2, those u get directly from coffers such as WAR's head part in Crawlers' Nest, we just refer to the place and keys. no AF5 or AF6. saying these to japanese players will result in confusion.

      Thanks for your reply

      That means in case I have the "Kote or Mashu"-part activated (which is the mean eldieme part, not completed yet...) I will get my head part out of a Crawlers Nest Coffer without any more prerequisites?

      Thanx!

        correct. requirements to obtain AF pieces directly from coffers r 1) either u r undertaking, or have completed the arm part, and 2) ur main job at the time u open coffers is the same as the AF part u intend to get. in this case, that means u have to be main WAR in order to get the head piece from the coffer in Crawlers' Nest.

        note that u don't need to be main WAR when u go open a coffer in Eldime. Eldime part is a part of a quest, and getting a quest item from coffer doesn't require u to be any specific job. the same goes for other jobs' arm parts, and certain AF3 quests (such as PLD's) for which u need to open coffers.

            Gets funny though once you have to drop the buffs and hear the mobs around you getting really pissed :p Yay for insta warp (just hope you have enough hp to bear the beating
