Ok you probably hear this all the time, but i just get to lvl 13 and my sword and scythe skill are maxed. I was thinking of starting to lvl another weapon either axe or spear. I know supposidly attacks the same as sword and does more damage and spear has some awesome /ws. I was just wondering what everone thought i should do or maybe lvl something else rather then axe or spear.

Great Axe - because it is the A+ weapon for WAR.

Axe - because WAR/NIN with 2x Axe ... is really cool. Hehe, okay that is my own opinion. 1H Axe is an A- weapon for both WAR & Beastmaster.

Spear - if you want to play Dragoon later, spear is the A+ of DRG.

Just a heads up... as a WAR you will miss A LOT with a spear becuase its like D rank or something :sweat:.

Gaxe, axe and Spear are good. Why? Because pentathrust helps rake in hate. There is also alot of other pluses.

Pentathrust isnt going to do anything if you cant hit the mob. Go with 1h axe or great axe.

Spear is B- (which falls in the same skill level category as almost every other weapon other than the axes) ...

We get Pentathrust at level 51 (DRG at 49).

Our D skills are H2H, bow, gun and throwing.

There is nothing wrong with raising skill on a spear/greatsword/scythe, but later on you'll most likely move to the axes.

The difference between A and B rating is minimal below lvl 60 and by the time you will have pentathrust you will have access to both aggressor and focus, 2 accuracy boosting skill, you'll need mnk sub to get focus still.

So unless a mob use a evade boost move, i don't see why a war would have accuracy problems with a decent skill in a weap.
