Samurai/Warrior Help ^_^ quick weap choice

Well, I am a lvl 10 warrior right now planning on being a samurai eventually, and I was wondering what kind of weapon I should use for this journey?

Since warriors can't use the Great Katanas that samurais can, use whatever weapons make your leveling to 30 warrior the easiest.

Great Axes are great for warriors but there are some lame axes between 10-30. Some ideas are Spatha (1h sword) at level 9, Centurion Axe (1h axe) at 10, Plantreaper (scythe) at 14, Fire Sword (1h sword) at 18, Mercenary Two-hand Sword (2h sword) at 20, etc. In those levels I was particularly fond of 1hand sword because a simple renkai like red lotus-> combo worked so well.

I suggest Polearm for your war's quest in Vana'dial. Then when you get to sam use great katana. When your able to lv your polearm with your sam do it. Later on in the game ppl might ask you if you have a polearm for the weapon skill "Penta Thrust". Its a five hit weapon skill. Since sams are TP masters this weapon skill does massive damage. So i party leader might ask you to forget SkillChains and just use "Pentra Thrust" when you can. This is my answer to your question. Remeber just play the game and do not care for what other ppl think.

IIRC with 2h weapons your parry skill will rise faster (my war's seems to be rising fairly fast too :D ). So a 2h weapon like great axe/sword and polearms will probably help some on the way to using great katanas

oh god no! Please wait till 11 for the Light Axe which is much better and a like 10% of the cost.

Axe/Shield combo works great, I like it alot better then Sword/Axe.
I also use a 2h Axe, since its Wars best weapon & its so powerful.
I level up my spear too, I dont like it as much as the others, but I just lvl it up so I dont have to worry about it till later when I go Samurai/Warrior.
