Umm what are the good points for each? I'm later planning to be a Samurai/War..would that make a difference in what I should choose? :dead:

Current levels:
Sam: 60 Mnk: 31 War: 31 Thf: 22 Brd: 18 Ninja: 23 Pld: 13 Drk: 13 Whm: 11 Drg: 9 Rng: 20 Bst: 6 Smn: 8
Recent News: AF Complete/LB3 Complete -
War/Mnk:
Best combo for Warriors,until 60th. Monk sub gives you useful abilities and HPs as you know.
War/Thf:
Thief sub gives you only backstab.The sub is useful only when you had been grouped with Paladin or Ninja,and after 30th.
Sam/War:
Useful until 60th,but clap after 60th.I guess it is better to be War/Sam instead of Sam/War.

It would only be usefull during soloing or a very rare chance you dont have the monster in a PT. I suggest subbing MNK for WAR in the beginning.Originally posted by Zando

Alright, thanks for the info, but I have one more question for Zando, why would war/sam be better than sam/war? Is it an abilities thing? or just personal preferance?Current levels:

Well i've partied with both several times...But i'm not to sure on all the Warrior's abilities (Always hated WAR). So, it's just that WAR's abilities are better later on and you can get TP passive ability at level 10. You can also get Heart Eye which can dodge the enemy attack about 2-3 times.Originally posted by Ryouga

EDIT: Heh..I meant that Samurai get's TP passive ability at level 10. So, if your main is Warrior at 20 you will get alittle more TP while attacking. But Heart Eye will work while after you taunt the monster. Maybe put that in a macro or something.http://www.livejournal.com/users/zandria_/

Hey John what do you think about war/nin with a 2hnd axe? I asked Xile and he said it would be fine for the dex and ninjutsu boost. You could wield 2 axes also. i think that would be decent after lv 30.
Oh and you said you would help me with m6 this weekend :D

And I said I still need to do M6 lol :\. I need to finish up M4 and i'll skip M5 ..prepare for M6 then we can get help and go ok? lol, well anyways I never liked the warriors in my PT using axes..even if it was two hand. Becuase basically their WS's suck in my opinion.Originally posted by MAK

becoz Sam does not get any useful ws for recent PT's strategy, such as lvl 3 renkei.
after lvl 60, PT will look for all high damage dealer, (however, Sam's damage does not high enough
)
and also, after war lvl 60...
you can sub
mnk,thf(sneak+decieve), sam(tp charge)...
since war can sub sam for tp charge and keep using 2h axe's 1st ws(shield break, enemy's evade down, and this is the only way war can get invite
)....

2h axe weapon skills definitely do not suck...shield break is a godsend against IT (totetote) mobs
