Evisceration seems to be the worst out of the three end game weaponskills for dagger. I usually try and avoid using it at all costs, but sometimes I'm forced to use it (usually when there's a dark knight in the party). Normally I use Shark Bite, which for me does a lot more damage than Evisceration. Dancing Edge works nice as well, and it's the weaponskill I use most while farming/soloing. Evisceration isn't horrible, it's just not as powerful as the two preceeding it.

good for openning distortion if you're helping someone breaking their weapon I guess. At least as Rdm that's the only time I use this WS.

I've only used it on RDM, but very nice for farming when even a mage in AF can smack 300-500 on EP's almost every time at 243 dagger.

its over rated I was sorely dissapointed when I got to use it. The animation looks cool, but the "free" WSs out shine it in most exp and solo situations for THF any way.

This wepon skill much like spiral hell depend heavily on TP to be able to exploit your dex and str modifiers to their fullest potencial, if you want it to match up to dancing edge or shark bite youll need to get atleast 200 tp, it isnt so bad to close darkness but you will need a heavy TPing setup, consider some of the new pieces of equipment (or not so new) like homam set, wahlara turban and even swift belt and you will be able to literally reach a permanent haste effect (15% haste like the spells)

waiting to 200 TP in a WS spam party isn't very practical, at least not the ones I've been in.

Waiting till 200% TP seems like a bad idea, but how about just to 100% with a Marital Dagger(so it's basically 200%)? Anyone tried it? I might when I have time after finals.

Well if you are in a WS burn party you dont use skillchains so evisceration is not a option you stick to dancing edge, and well...me as a thf have never really been in any kind of burn..

Well, my thf is elf and due to my equipment I might have different stats than most people, but I personally find on exp mobs, DE > SB > Evis. Even at 300% TP evis doesnt have the best dmg for me. I personally find 100%DE outdamages 300%Evis for my char.

The one thing which seals the deal as far as getting evis asap, is all the renkei options is gives you. It is a gravitation WS (can open or close dark renkei with drk war sam) and also opens distortion. When they changed evis from fragmentation (same as SB) to gravitation, I was in love with square. Having the option to open/close darkness for a distortion WS is just huge imho.

Oh and if you use martial knife, SB also gives higher dmg for more tp, so it will do more dmg than evis anyway.
