Duoed her as 67 thf/nin with a 67 blm/whm.

She's a wuss! Used neither of our 2-hour abilities, no potions, no tp tricks, no nothing. In fact, we found our system on our fourth try, once we'd run out of everything but pineapple juice.

Wow, bet the doubters in the bloodtear baldruff thread feel kinda stupid now. Congrats!

On a whim, my blm buddy and I went up against garuda (we were just in the neighborhood after an xp party). She had some serious accuracy problems with hitting me, too. Utsusemi covered the overlaps. Problem is, her abilities could still get through. Anyhow, we certainly didn't win (cast escape pretty fast), but I was suprised with how much I was evading even at 62.

Well, it's pretty fun, and after that adventure, we decided to try a couple more --

Still 67, did Titan and Ramuh today -- beat them both first try.

So far, Ramuh was easiest but most dangerous, and Titan was both easy and not very scary

(I'd rate Garuda hardest of the three to duo, because of her healing move. I'll bet Leviathan will be really fun. :sweat: )

Oh, cool knowledge -- bolts generally don't proc, but acid bolts will proc constantly on Titan (but not the other two).

My guess is that status effects are also elemental, and defense down is wind-based. Just a guess though.

Which is why the effect doesn't stack with Armor Break (Wind Based), I'd assume.

I tanked Leviathan at L67.

Our L65 (I think) PLD got owned by an exceptionally powerful Great Fall. WHM quickly followed because of 2H and our BLM could keep the L75 monk healed so I had to tank the rest of the fight.

I took a hit or two before I got utsusemi up, but after that the only damage I took was from special attacks that ignore shadows. I also took almost no damage at all from the 2H (probably luck, even though that's always been the case against avatars).
