Odd luck with coffer hunting astrals

Is it just me or do astral rings come in streaks after getting a lot of coffers with gil.

Example:
I picked 8 coffer with no rings once, then the next 3 coffers each had a ring. Then about 11 coffers without a ring (2 with gems >_<) and then 2 astrals, 1 gil, and another astral after that. Pretty much I get 8-9 gil/gem coffers, then 2-3 rings in a row. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this, or I'm just wierd

Never actually stayed in Oztroja long enough to get 8+ coffers~ Longest ive stayed is probably 4 or so coffers in a row, then i got a mimic i think. But im pretty sure its just complete randomness. My very first coffer, After the AF coffer i got a Astral ring, When theres a 75 thief who is somthing like 0/20 on rings =\
So there might be somthing like in every 8 coffers there's 1 ring or somthing...or maybe just too random to judge.

I'm 3/20 on rings, and most people I talk to have at least a 30-50% rate, so I've always thought I've gotten screwed bad.

i was actually alone in OZ for a while the otherday..... 3 mimics in a row >< (lvl 69 w/ +35dex, very crappy luck)

but on topic i have horrible luck with astrals anymore, found 1 in the past 2 months, back when i was lvl60 i was finding 1-2 a day though. That was nice. Now its so crowded on my server i avoid it unless i really get low on cash and even then dont rely on the coffers for it.

...could be worse. I'm at least 1/8. probably closer to 1/10. Got an astral on my very first coffer (after the thief pants), and more than half the chests since then have been mimics. The rest were gil.

shrug i dunno why people think dex helps with coffers~ never noticed a diffrence..... when i camped astrals i was about 1/5 usually.

I've been having a good streak lately, I'm 1/2 rate for Astrals from coffers for the last 9 coffers

was going for no. 5 today but I had to leave to go kill Nidhogg ;;

Just curious, what lvl could one start camping coffers in oztroja? What would happen if I tried to open one as a lvl 35 thf? I guess Ill find out before I get a reply here, since im going to try now

LOL. Anyways, guyincorporated is probably right. I've read alot into coffer hunting and it seems to be highly dependant on level. For Coffer Ostroja supposedly it's not even worth it unless you start in the 50s(you will be wasting more money on keys than treasure you get back, in other words). This isn't from personal experience though, just what I've heard.
