  • Low Level Gil - New Thief!!

    Hey All,

Im new to being a Thief. I am normally a 30 RDM / 15 BLM, but I am flat broke. So I decided to lvl up my thief job and start stealing!

In the early levels 1-15 I know I will mostly be soloing in the Windhurst area. What should I be looking for stealing? Any beasts better than others to kill?

My final question, how much does the Gil multiplier work. Is it that much of a difference? In other words am I wasting my time doing this? Is it worth it lving my thief??? Or would it be more beneficial to join a guild instead..

    Thanks A Bunch!

I'm afraid you won't be stealing much of value until silver beastcoins from leechers/muggers when you fight them in the high teens. You can't steal silk thread or anything useful...

You can steal regular beastcoins from most any beastmen (ambushers have crossbow bolts, don't bother stealing), they sell for 1k/dz. Sorry.

Gil finder doubles all gil found, if I recall correctly.
    You know I'm right.

The few things that I found you could steal with some amount of regularity were:

      - Bird Feathers from birds
      - Sleepshrooms from funguar
      - Honey from bees.

Not sure which ones exist where you are, but thats my favorite list. I made decent money early on in Bastok selling bird feathers from both stealing and killing the birds.

Now I steal silver while I gil hunt and mythril beastcoins when I exp. Still not a great way to make money, but its a nice bonus when you are hunting for gil.
