Subjob question

I am leveling thief 15 to 37, just curious what subjob I should take, and what kind of weapons I should use? I'm not fond of hand to hand at the moment due to the fact that strike bags cost 20k. Will I be ok using war until thf 20 to use cougar bags?

Pre-33, a Thief should use either a sword or h2h. If you don't like h2h, sword is perfectly fine (Fast Blade still does awesome damage).

If you use sword, I'd suggest subbing Warrior until 20 for the back up provoke. At 20, I'd suggesting subbing Ninja so you can dual wield a sword in your main hand and a dagger in your off. This way, once you hit 33, you're dagger skill will be capped and you'll get Viper Bite ASAP.

If you use h2h, MNK up till 33. 33 and up though, when you'll be using dagger, MNK just doesn't cut it.

if you can afford strike baghnaks, get them and go /mnk. Honestly you could probably go /mnk with strike bagh's all the way to 37 if you plan on ending thief there.
