Thief/Monk Question

Alright i'm currently a lvl11 Thief. Eventually I want to become a Thf/Nin, but i can't unlock ninja until lv30. My concern is, lets say I decide to sub Mnk until 30, Do i have to use HtH weapons? if so, for those 22 levels my Dagger will remain low and not get trained. Is there a way to train dagger with mnk still subbed? thanks

u could swap weapons after leveling until its capped, daggers are fast, and should cap quickly

Well, I leveled my dagger on my higher level dragoon so it wasn't entirely gimp when I changed to thf/nin at thief L28.

Anyway, hand to hand is the way to go with thf/mnk and I think it's far superior to thf/war with a sword.

I would probably level to 30 with only hand to hand and then start practicing dagger on weak mobs and eventually build it to a level where I can hit exping mobs. Dagger is a fast weapon so it should cap pretty quickly.
