Can you steal two items from the same monster? Like I steal a coin from one monster then run, can I steal again from him? I've never really tried this so I was hoping some of you have. Thanks in reply.

Thank you for your reply, I guess i'll have to try this. I was just wondering becuase of this certain steal zone I like with about 3 monsters close to it. I usually steal from them then log and come back the next day to do it again...but i'll try 30 minutesOriginally posted by PhoR
I've never gotten this to work, in a short period of time anyways. The fastest I have been able to steal from the same mob is 30 mins after the first steal. So I'm guessing it takes a while for their "stealable" items to respawn.
If anyone else has tried anything please post.

I've never seen more than one thief successfully steal from the same monster before. When I'm at ifrit's cauldron, I'll pass the zone (where gobbos spawn) every 40 mins or so, and I can never steal (OR mug) from the same guy again.
As far as I can tell, mug works just like steal (i.e., you can only mug somebody once), but it never fails, assuming they have gil. So you can use mug to "tag" the mobs you've already stolen from.
Bottom line, its possible that each mob only has one item to steal, ever (in which case you need to kill them to get a new one to spawn), or whether they just have a 2hour+ steal timer, which I've just never checked. You know I'm right.

Yeah, I'm thinking that its one steal and one mug per spawn to. I used to try and steal from the ants then zone into Rabao. Wait then zone back out to try to steal from the same ant, it never seemed to work.
You think you're the best, but there is always someone better.
