What race is best for theif other then Mithra

lol if you mean stats wise, a galka or hume would probably be next in good power for a thf. A taru would probably fall behind these other two and then elvaan

This is pure stats wise of course but damn it I'm a taru and I do just fine with food. On top of which, it is just way too uber to a taru melee and my cool ass dual butter knives assault! RAWR!!!!

The difference btw galka and hume dex is about 4 points at lv 60 but has a lot more str and good AGI so it works out ok. But the extra HP's and vit help alot when getting smacked as a thf. You'd be surprised how often thieves take hits. Luckily I got max evasion and lots of +evasion gear from lving my nin and I can actually tank rather well as lv 23 thf when I happen to do 200 damage sneak attack + fast blade

After 30 the only hits you should take will be from pulling and/or farming. If you sub ninja, utsusemi will protect you on a pull.

so taru or hume is obviously the 2nd best
