  • How do you do SA+TA+WS solo?

I'm sure I've seen it on another thread somewhere on some forum but i searched and couldnt find it. Could someone please enlighten me again. Thanks in advance.

You can SA + WS simply by getting behind a mob and attacking it, making sure your first swing is your WS. Of course, if the mob turns to agro you before this happens, there's nothing you can do about it.

I do not think you can TA solo. TA I believe only works on another party member, though I have never tried it having a random joe stand between me and the target.

A standard macro for Sneak Attack + Trick Attack + Viper Bite (the weapon skill I assume you're using for this) would be something like...

        /ja "Sneak Attack" <me>
        /wait 1
        /ja "Trick Attack" <me>
        /wait 1
        /ws "Viper Bite" <t>

Trick attack will not deal the bonus damage if you're soloing.

As for the macro to execute a SA+WS I would split it up. Have your standard sneak macro and a seperate macro for the WS. This is what my macro looks like:

/p Opening with Sneak + Fast Blade in 3 seconds.
          /wait 1
          /a <bt>
          /wait 2
          /ws "Fast Blade" <t>

If you are soloing and want to get the first attack on the monster with a Sneak Attack + WS, this is how you can do it in one macro.

            /attack <t>
            /wait 2
            /ja "Sneak Attack" <me>
            /wait 2
            /ws "Viper Bite" <t>

Stand right behind the monster and use this macro and it will draw the weapon for you and SA + WS right after without having to draw your weapon manually.

The only way I've been able to do fuidama solo is when there a handy unaware person.

Which is really rare, but it's a hoot when it works.

I thought the helper had to be a PT member in order for TA to work. It states as much in the in-game ability description, and the one time I tried SA+TA on someone that wasn't a PT member, the mob just started hitting me.

It would be cool if you could TA behind a non-aggroing mob, though. Like so:

                THF > mob > mob

It would be like a welfare version of BST.

I've also found out this works

                    /attack <t>
                    /wait 2
                    /ja "Sneak Attack" <me>
                    /follow <t>

You get behind enemy and draw weapon just need to be careful where you are positioned.

Hmm, I've tried something very much like this and it hasn't worked.

As soon as I ready the weapon skill (but before it hits), the monster turns to face me, and I hit for normal WS damage. This is on non-aggressive monsters, with a level 15 thf. (I usually use Sneak Attack before I draw my weapon - it lasts at least a few seconds or until you hit. This works fine unless I use a WS).

No, I'm not hitting the monster with a normal attack before the WS - I've checked logs, and the first hit is the WS for 40 (sneak without a WS does 90-100 on the same monster).

I have another question - when a monster casts Bind on me, I not only can't move, I can't turn either. Does that also apply to Bind you cast on monsters? Can you Bind something that's facing you, move around behind it, and Sneak Attack before the Bind wears off?
