Damage per weapon

I'm curerntly using a bronze sword and a onion dagger but they don't seem to do enough damage,Could you recommend swords/daggers for a lv9 theif?

Well...since you are a lvl 9 job and still using lvl 1 weps, that's your first problem solved.

The key to the early lvls is really just x's and o's. Damage, Damage, Damage. With little to no weapons giveing you any type of significant stat boosts its really just a question of 'what's the next weapon my character can wield at higher lvls?'

If you are burning NOW for a new sword I would say snatch up a Sapara or Xiphos. A Sapara is best out of the two cause it adds mor dmg, BUT its a bit slower than the Xiphos. And I think its a bit more expensive. But at this point in the journy I dont think it would make much diff. between the two. Or, alternately if you want to wait one more lvl and acquire a ryl. arc. sword this baby has great dmg and great speed. But thats up to you.

As far as daggers (well, daggers just suck early on bro....period). But there are a few shining lights in the world of daggers. Daggers are some of the earliest weps that get added status affects and stat bonuses. IF and i mean IF you can get ahold to be beestinger this dagger owns. great dmg, great speed and added dex are truly something you want to look for in a thf. I have seen early lvl mithra hit almost none stop with this wep. So look for that. If you are going to get a dagger go for one with added status affects. Some should give blindness status affects around this lvl.

Thanks for your advice.I just acquired a beestinger and it rocks.When I reach lv10 I'll use my conquest points to acquire a royal archer's sword and see what that's like..

Equip Question for Teen Thf

Hey, I was just wondering... I love my mithra thf, prolly going to go all the way with her (In a non-dirty way).

The thing is, I'm using dagger+1 now, at level 16 (got entire lizards with some ledel/fine's for me at level 17 ^_^)


[] My question is simple, is beestinger worth using over the extra dama thx to stat bonus, or should I still just go sith highest damage? []

I use Brass (bronze?) Xiphos for backup weapon/pt purposes.

And also, a tip from me, go to windurst and get the compund circlet, it is SILLY cheap, adds 4 def and +5 eva at level 9 I think. Helps a LOT while soloing for that magic level 15 when we actually start getting useful/invited.

And I DO use my sword. I just ask the pt nicely every now and then if I can use my dagger on non-snippers.

beestinger gets outdated very fast. don't worry about getting +dex and +agi items till you get at least past lvl 20. Just go with whatever weapon has the most dmg on it, more base dmg early on will increase your dmg far better than a couple dex or agility will.
