to all elvaan thf players out there, I would like to know if it is challenging to play as a elvaan thf for the first 18 levels, is there a noticable difference. Are Elvaan thf good?

Well sneak attack damage is based off of dex, and trick attack damage is based off of agi. Elvaan have the lowest agi/dex of any race in the game. I haven't played an Elvaan thief but I did level my thief job to 18 as a galka, and I tell ya until level 15 things really drag. Basically before 15 when you get sneak attack you are just a weak warrior. After 15 though my damage went up considerably and things were alot more fun.Immovable stone in your world of weak. -
of all races, elvaan is the worst for thf. Change races before it's too late like me.

i leveled thf as a sub to 13 so far as an elvaan and it's been a dead stop for a week... no one invites me to groups and groups i make magically serperate in one fight..."Know the enemy and know yourself; in one hundred battles you will never be in peril."

I have a 5/2 thief, and as long as you get some DEX enhancing items it will be fine. I think I recently got some roast carp, which gives about +3 DEX, and my Elvaan thief hits are landing 98% of the time. Maybe it's because I waited to level my thief up until I got War as a subclass, but things are going fine for me. I plan to be a Ranger though, so I don't know if a high level elvaan thief (60+) will be all that wise.Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. yea they do, but even with full rse, elvaan dex is still lower than mithra. Thats assuming the mithra has some basic dex+ equip like balance rings.Originally posted by Haplo

At level 30 I would say there is a difference.
