  • Thf/Mnk?

Is there anyway I can have my main thf have a dagger in one hand and a claw in other? I don't care about how good the class comb. would be. I just want to know if this equipment is possible.
    Thanks!

No. It doesn't work that way. You use a weapon such as a dagger and you are no longer grappling

To clarify, when you grapple either when you have no weapon in your main weapon slot or when you equip a grapple type weapn (claws, cesti, etc), and those weapons always come in pairs.

If you are interested in dual wielding, you need to go for hand to hand abilities (monks are good for this), or take Ninja up to lv 10 so you can dual wield 1-handed weapons.

I didn't see any point in starting a new thread, so I'll just use this one.

I was wondering how good THF/MNK would be compared to THF/NIN and THF/WAR at higher levels. I've been seeing more and more MNK subbed THFs around lately, though none of them seem to be very high level. So it made me wonder weather MNK sub could be as successful.

The reason you might be seeing a bunch of THF/MNKs is how much the Monk's ability boost can add some umph to your sneak+fast/combo. However, it requires good timing because in order to do enviable damage, you'll need 8-10 boosts stacked before the 3 min boost duration expires. You'll still deal very respectable damage even with only 2-3 boosts and you'll definitely deal more damage with sneak than a THF/WAR.

THF/MNK is pretty cool right now for up to 30. Once at 30 if you can manage some high-level help it would be better to complete the ninja quest and sub that. Now if you already have ninja unlocked and can afford 2 Mithran Scimitars at 28, I'd definitely go that direction until 33.
