  • THF and Pulling

do thf's in parties tend to do the pulling? atleast before advanced jobs i guess?

ever since nearing the end of my lvling time at bubu/valk and going into qufim/lower delk, i've found that unless there's 3 war's that i've done the pulling. and i'm not sure why, i think i might have volunteered once and now i do it out of habit =\

noone says 'no don't you pull' so i'm not sure if i should keep pulling. i asked a higher lvl war in the party to pull once and couldn't stand waiting ><" i was pulling again within 3 mobs hehe

so yer, tho thf's pull in parties?

I usually pull in the party if no one takes the initiative.

i pull alot and also tank when i get the chance. i think it helps me with my evasion skill, and i think the monsters don't really hit that hard at this stage.

Well its VERY rare that I pull some JP players have asked why I'm not the one pulling. Thing is noone has asked me to pull.

You think you're the best, but there is always someone better.

I pull all the time and with /sam it helps. Typically though THF's do most of the pulling or Ninja I think.

In my opinion a thief is best suited to pull. You can sneak before going to pull and let a warrior provoke it off of you when you get back to camp. It also prevents a warrior's provoke from being "wasted" because of the time it takes to get back to camp.

How else are we supposed to safely increase our evasion if we delegate ourselves merely to a support role? Provoking in a battle can be very dangerous as you're almost guaranteed to get that hate for 10 seconds. I was provoking pugils in battle today in valk but fortunately we had 1 whm and 2 back-up healers.

                Good point.

I try to pull w/ bow/arrow if no one takes the initiative.
