Scimitar vs brass xiphos?

Is one better than the other for a lvl 14 thief? They both seem pretty similar, but i wondered if thieves had different proficiencies for different "types" of one-handed swords. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense. Thanks.

Dunno what the difference is but i used the Brass Xiphos...

I use a biblo + 1

I'm pretty sure that the only difference is that the Xiphos is 4k less expensive and has 1 dam less... It's the one I went with at that level personally.

I'd say you're probably right Zywack. I overspent on a Scimitar, but tried a Brass Xiphos and didn't see much difference. Oh well, it's only gil.
