skill caps and a WS

Hello everyone. I have a couple questions.

My dagger and sword weapon levels havent gone up since around level 8 when they were capped (blue). I'm level 11 now and my dagger is still 27 and my sword is still 22. Shouldnt these skills go up a few points every level ?

My second question is in regards to the Flaming Arrow Weapon Skill. Once my Archery got to 10 it said i learned flaming arrow yet i can't use it. Why not?

They may not be going up because your not fighting hard enough monsters, try fighting evens or decents or get in a PT.
The reason you do not have any Bow WSs is becasue only a rng can use them, so either main or sub has to be rng.

I am in the same boat except even worse, I have H2H and Dagger and these haven't budged off 12 and 14 for 2 levels. I know I am only level 7, but I cannot seem to fight anything that gives me skill increases. I guess I started sticking to the easy's too early to farm them.

I feel I am pretty gimped at the moment because I cannot even fight a decent due to my weapon skills being so low.

Tried to find a party, except at low levels, parties seem to get you killed more than solo!

I am guessing this will catch up at some point? I should be able to start getting skill increases off easy high defs?

When you get into parties and start fighting even+ things, your skills will raise quite fast. At least your weapon ones

I fought some sapplings in the canyon today and noticed a sword skill increase.

Well it all ended well last night, found a good party who helped me complete the first mission, and I managed to get all my weapon skills maxed, then levelled.

Fortunately, all my stuff sold at the AH for good prices and I walked away with full leather armour and a new sword to level up

WS really makes a huge diferrence, I was hitting for 8-10, I maxed it and my damage on easys went up to 14-16!
