Ok I am really curious. The Thief seems to be an awesome character class. I mean they can steal and have a better chance of getting items and more gil from a battle making them excellant at gathering resources but... are they truly needed or wanted in a party for those reasons? I mean I think they would be. Every group wants to get gil right?

They are needed in every party. At high lvls u need their yokodama for hate placement. Also u need their skills for treasure and some special loot. Plus they are damn sexy. -
