  • Thief and what for small group?

Hey all well I was wondering what would be a good partner for a thief? Like a whm and a war? Don't get me wrong but there are going to be times where I play with just my friends for small profitable hunting and would like to know what is effective to carry it out. I am going to be a thief for profit and damage reasons, just need to know what eles I can get to be better off. Thanks for any helping reply.

Also Thanks Kanomjeeb for the help you gave.

I dont really know. But... Since Theives are great at dodging I would think they can handle tanking seeing how you wont get hit alot. And as long as your just taking on low levels about your level. You should be ok without a healer, right. So I would think a Black Mage or and type of support would be great. It helps you take down the enemy before they have much of a chance to strike back. Sorry if this is inaccurate I'm using my EQ knowlegde and common sense to make a geuss. I hope its right atleast.

    Ranger - 22 Dragoon - 15
    Samurai - 11 Bard - 10

Let the whm tank and do yokodama on whm ^^.

well, anyway, its very doable and I do that all the time.

if you not hunting something too hard, i would say RDM+THF is better.

just let the rdm tank :p

you can ask Jei, I used to play with him a lot.

Thanks for all the replies. How about a 3 people group including myself . Also when you yokodama how do you always know where to stand to be out of the mobs l.o.s? I mean I know the set-up but do all the mobs have the same l.o.s?

*heads spinning* I have never heard those terms on EQ. Brandon is confused. Well I think Theives would be good. They get good money, high hit rate and good dodging.

Id have to disagree. I believe the best person as a partner would be a paladin. The point of yokodama is to put hate on a tank to protect your casters/ranger or high damage output characters. A thief as a tank wouldnt work too well either. They do not have the skills to dodge every attack and dont have the defence to protect themselves for a long period of time. Maybe a ninja/thief becuase of blink, but i do not think that you were implying that. Any follow ups by high level characters would help for these people too.
