beauty of Triple Attack..

currently i'm a Galkan Thief/Ninja.. I dual wield my Marauder's Knife and a Combat Caster's Scimitar . ) combined with triple attack and i've become a walking living breathing food processor -.-

so far i see the rate of triple attack pretty good.. so good that the paladin sometimes have trouble keeping hate on him if i don't use my hate placement even the dark knight goes to the back and the mob focuses on me due to the constant unending flurry of attacks.. . (

here's how i see it work in-game:
I pretty much triple attack almost every 3-4 rounds or so.. and it does a quad attack because of the added dual wield.. also it takes so long that after the 4 attacks is over, i almost always re-fire my next round of 2 more attacks so that's 6 total attacks aka "Broot stop spamming the log with your attacks!"

I've seen:
-triple on primary, quad on dual'd scim + 2 more attacks for the next round
-triple on dual'd, quad on primary + 2 more attacks for the next round

I want to see the infamous triple attack firing on both weapons.. Jeeb has commented that it's extremely rare and it basically means both weapons get effected by triple attack.. so that's 6 attacks in a row.. which ends the row which is immediately followed by 2 more attacks for a normal round.. which technically is also effected by triple attack.. so it's possible to do 12 attacks all in a row

. ) i was just tired of looking like a lvl 1 wearing a doublet -.- everyone else thought i was bitching at how thieves suck, but i kinda just smiled cuz that wasn't where my rant was going

there's a bastok conquest cloth level 40 too. liike pretty neat I use it for my thf and whm all the time

Sorry if I misunderstood the tone of your post, but due to the way you wrote it, it just seemed like you thought that thieves were completely worthless save treasure hunter 2. You sounded like you thought that thieves don't get anything at all.

Now that you know the value of thieves' abilites, (even hide is very useful) you are left doubting the available choices of your equipment.

I think what you are missing is that there loads of equipment that thieves can wear past level 50. It's just that on the beta server, either no one has a high enough guild skill to make them, or no one is selling their conquest equipment. Anyway, if you're 50+, why haven't you gotten your AF equipment yet??

Even yet, as a thief your primary concern is boosting your dex and agi stats as high as possible, usually ignoring the defense stat. Hey, it's not like you're going to get attacked, anyway. When I play as a thief, most of my equipment is very low level compared to my character's level. For example:

Lv7 leaping boots (dex+3 agi+3) Lv24 emperor topknot (dex+3 agi+3) Lv21 spike necklace (dex+3) two Lv14 dex+2 high quality rings Lv28 mithran scimitar (dex+3)

A little though about Hide, for me, its one of our most beautiful ability.

It saves my life .. uncountable times,

Once i was in a rez2 hunting alliance, we were wiped out.. only me survived cuz of hide (i hid from high priest). The point is, whm had reraise2 up, but he couldnt rez himself cuz there were many yagudo's around. So, what I did was, I aggroed all yagudo and ran to another side, then used hide. WHM reraised, invised himself and sit in the safe area.

Once his mp was ready again, I did the same more than 7-8 times, aggroed, ran, hid, and he could rez up all the alliance and we could keep going(unfortunately the whm subbed smn -''- so he couldnt use tractor).

Hunting coffer in OZ, hide is a MUST especially the last door. Tonzura, touch the torch, hide, run to the door.

Most ppl just underestimate hide..

jeeb u make everything about a thief sound better (meaning it in a good way!!)
cuz that one thread about how thiefs are pointless really got me down about thiefs but im happy ppl are happy with thieves now
