Do SMNs get Retribution? If not, can we get it from WHM sub if we unlocked it on WHM?

SMN do get retribution WS, need to have a staff skill of 230 to start quest. You dont need to be /whm once you get it to use it either.

Indeed, Summoner staff skill caps at 250 so we do get retribution.

Summoners can also get Black Halo, Club caps at 230.

Just in case someone who doesn't know about WS see this post, it's a lie SMN doesn't get Retribution.

The only weapon skills Summoner doesn't get are Earth Crusher and Sunburst, but subbing WAR, MNK, WHM and PLD will give access to them.


Retribution is the WS you get after finishing the quest from Shantotto. (lvl 71+ skill lvl 230+) And only WAR, MNK, WHM, BLM, PLD, BRD, DRG and SMN can do this quest.

Yes Summoner does get it! I've used SMN/THF for farming and still had the weapon skill. It is native to Summoner.

I don't know how you see that SMN isn't on the list of jobs that can get Retribution, as the page for the quest clearly shows SMN.

Whenever I'm wondering if I can get a WS quest, I just look at the weapon of trials used for that quest: Pole of Trials.
