Can Summoners skill chain?, if they do does DMG kick ass or just show weakness.

SMN can solo skillchain with their avatars. The damage isn't anything to write home about (unless you're on too weak mobs, then I guess it could be decent). If you're asking if SMN can use Avatars to skillchain in EXP parties, yes they can. I actually had a very effective party at level 50 or so with five members fighting bats in Upper Delkfuts Tower... the SMN was skillchaining with a melee (I think it was a SAM, but I could be totally wrong) using Shiva's Double Slap. Damage was pretty good, and consistent too. If you're asking if SMN themselves can skillchain in EXP parties, then no. Hell no.

Select Summoning Magic if you want your avatar to skillchain, or select your choice of weapon if you want to skillchain.
